Thirty five years experience in the design and implementation of electrical systems, interior and exterior lighting, and emergency power systems for commercial and institutional facilities, Areas of expertise include Automation, supervisory control and data acquisition and Integrated Plant Management Computer Systems for industrial and water/waste water treatment facilities using open architecture non proprietary off the shelf commercial hardware and software.

I am a conscientious, self starter willing to work the hours necessary to complete project design within the estimated fee.

I interface well with clients and have completed all projects with the clients compete satisfaction.

Client Retention: having once completed a project for a client I am almost always asked to do future work and have worked for most clients continuously for the last 10 to fifteen years.

Work History

  • 2005 – Present

Owner and Principal electrical designer of RICHARD SCHOCH AND ASSOCIATES (LLC): ELECTRICAL DESIGN CONSULTANTS: Specializing in Electrical, Radio Telemetry, Power Generation, Water/Wastewater Automation, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Process Instrumentation and Integrated Plant Management Computer Systems Design.

  • 1991-2005 Manager Automation /Controls Division, Lang Associates. Inc. Wausau, WI.
  • Managed this department for 16 years and grew the department from zero to over a million dollars a year design fees. Developed a marketing and implementation strategy that took Scada Design projects from conception phase to successfully completed projects with 100% client satisfaction.
  • Developed a construction phase implementation and commissioning procedure for System Integrators that guarantees clients receive a state of the art, completely reliable Integrated Plant Management Computer and Supervisory control System that operates to one hundred per cent of the clients expectations. Of more then seventy projects completed all of the clients expectations were met or exceeded. I managed the department in its entirety, including marketing, estimating fees, administration .Including Design and construction administration. Projects were nearly always completed within the estimated electrical construction budgets or less.




1972 – 1991 Operations Manager Sherman Electric Services of Eau Claire, WI.

  • : Started as Chief Estimator, and Electrical Designer responsible for bidding projects, project manager, completed many projects some exceeding $1,000,000.00.During my tenure at this company it grew from a gross sales of $100,000.00 to almost $2,000,000.00gross annual sales.
